A visit with a recent juror, brought the following observations of praise.

  • Parking: There was provision for off street parking for over 100 cars on jury selection day. There were several persons attending parking alone. From the overflow lot, there was golf cart transportation given for those who needed it.
  • Organization: Everything was well planned. Attendants were available to give direction and take people where they should go. The attendants were well trained and courteous. From the judges to the attorneys, to the court officials, everything was well planned out and seemed to go off like clockwork.
  • The court recorder appeared to know their job and acted very professionally.
  • There appeared to be an excellent balance between orderliness, respect, judicial decorum and a working, friendly, effective atmosphere.
  • For the jurors, there was enforcement of propriety and also  respect for necessary special personal needs of the individuals on duty.
  • With respect to this particular occasion, when a special request went out to the judge for clarification of a matter, the judge effectively brought to their remembrance the testimony of the  matter with clarity which enabled the jury to come to a ready decision.

This particular juror had served before in other locations and believes that Armstrong County is worthy of commendation.
